30 Hours Provision
Here at Forest Town Primary School we are able to offer a limited number of pupils within our F1 (Nursery) full time provision.
All Pupils are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education (either morning or afternoon session). This is funded by the government.
However, some families may be eligible for an extra 15 hours of “free nursery education”. To be eligible you must:
- Have both parents working
- Each parent must earn a weekly income over 16 hours at national minimum wage (£120 per week) and not more than £100,000 per year.
To apply and check eligibility go to: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
The 30 hours childcare enables children to attend up to 4 1/2 days depending on your requirements.
However, if you wish to 'top up' your child's nursery provision, or if you do not qualify for the extra 15 hours, you can opt to pay for extra sessions. These sessions are charged at £16 per session (am or pm).
If your child stays all day, you can either send them with a packed lunch or purchase a school dinner via sQuid for £2.30.
All fees must be paid for a month in advance via sQuid and changes can only be made on a half termly basis.
If you require any more information, or to come and visit our purpose built Foundation Unit, please contact the school office.
