Swimming

All our Year 4 and Year 5 children attend swimming lessons at the Rebecca Adlington Pool in Mansfield Woodhouse through

Nottinghamshire County Council's School Swimming Scheme. Transport to and from the pool is also organised by the scheme and is a

great way for children to consolidate existing skills and beginners are accommodated in the training pool.

If your child has not attended swimming lessons prior to Year 4 then you can contact the pool directly to book them in at the correct

level and age group. Even if this is not possible, it helps greatly if you can take your child to a fun swim at any of the pools in the

Mansfield area to get them used to being in the water. Please ask our sports coaches for more information or support, the earlier your

child develops their swimming skills, the better as it may save their life.

We require parent helpers for swimming to ensure the safety of all our children both in and out of the water. Please let our sports

coaches know if you can assist for a few weeks, it is vital for the success of this programme.

Please find below some important information in relation swimming with school from Nottinghamshire County Council.
