Year 2 to 3 Dinners

                                                                                                                         July 2020

Dear Parents/Carers

As you may be aware, in Year 3 school dinners are no longer covered by the government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme and must be paid for at a cost of £2.30 per day (£11.50 per week).

If you would like your child to continue to have a hot dinner from the canteen every day, please ensure that you credit your child’s sQuid ‘Catering’ purse and pay for your meals in advance. Please note that if there is not enough credit in your child’s catering account, you will receive a phone call from school on the day asking you to top-up or bring in a packed lunch for your child; you will also need to send your child with a packed lunch daily until the account is in credit.

Children will also no longer receive a free piece of fruit daily from school.  This can be purchased per half term at a cost of £7.00, payable through your child’s catering account on sQuid.
