The focus artist this week is Andy Warhol and in the 1960’s he became known as one of the leading artists of the pop art movement.

Pop artists felt that art should reflect modern life and so they made art inspired by the world around them - from movies, advertising, and pop music to comic books and even product packaging.


  • What does the word influence mean?


Get children to think about the decisions they make;

  • Who influences you?
  • What influences you?


Encourage children to think about family members, friends, teachers, adverts, famous people, influential people in the past etc.

  • Who influences you to make the decisions in your life?
  • Draw a picture of themselves in the mirror and then add the main influences into the speech bubbles.
